I'm Back! Again!

I'm Back! Again!

I’m back! As some of you know, I shut this blog down last year following the death of my grandmother, Mary. I pushed myself way too hard in too many directions and needed a break. Now that I’ve taken stock of what’s important and how I want to show up, I’m ready to start sharing again. Here is what you can expect.

Fewer Posts

My biggest motivation to discontinue the blog last year was the time commitment. Then, my goal was to post perfect content once a week. It lasted for a while, but then it became a burden. In fact, I arrived at a place where I no longer enjoyed cooking. I felt like anything I cooked could be viable content so I would document everything and it eventually took the fun out of my passion.

Currently, I’m at grad school at Northeastern University pursuing a master’s in Computer Science. It is a lot of fun and I really enjoy it but school in itself is a job. This is intended as a passion project, not another stressor.

To keep this rolling and for it to be what I want it to be, I will aim for one post a month. If I am feeling ambitious, I might do more, but I make no promises.

More Diverse Content

Here’s the good news. I have more stuff to write about other than food. I am VERY excited to share that Anthony and I have begun the process of having children via surrogacy. I’ll be writing about the process and journey in future posts

I’m not an expert but I want to present an honest and vulnerable picture of the surrogacy journey. This process will take a lot of time, energy, attention, and money. I hope that by sharing my story, I can help other queer couples trying to build families.

All things considered, I look forward to working on this project again. It won’t be flashy, but it will be fun. Thanks for following along!
